I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Maksoud as an exceptional Physician and human being. His manner is warm and encouraging. He really listens-a rare commodity in the medical profession these days. He takes time to understand your history and symptoms, then joins them together to illustrate your current health status and your potential future status and explains it all in a way you can understand. He then lays out your options and is always respectful of cultural and spiritual needs. On my first visit to Dr Maksoud, I was speaking to a Nurse, who enquired who I was seeing, when I told her it was Dr Maksoud, she smiled at me and said “That’s good, Dr Maksoud gets his patient well” I can confirm the truth of this statement from my own experience. If I had found him earlier I would have saved myself a lot of unnecessary suffering.

I first met Dr Maksoud during 2018 after a recommendation well respected Thyroid Surgeon. Prior to Dr Maksoud being recommended to me I had been receiving treatment locally for three years via my GP and local hospital. I had been unhappy with the previous treatment protocol, there were no improvements and if anything my symptoms became worse over those three years from 2015 to 2018. After trying on many separate occasions during this three year period to raise my concerns with my then GP and Consultant I realised I was just going round In circles without success. At this point of utter despair I thought I might as well obtain a second opinion from another Endocrine Specialist..............as you just never know, and I could not have felt any worse at that point so it was worth a try. On meeting Dr Maksoud for my first consultation I immediately felt a huge relief and I was quite emotional. Dr Maksoud spent a vast amount of time engaged in conversation with me, and listened intently to the answers I gave to his questions. I found Dr Maksoud to be extremely knowledgable of my condition, and also how the complexities of previous medical illnesses had impacted on my current state of health, and were no to be ignored as had happened previously, as they were very relevant. Following Dr Maksoud’s in depth review of the blood tests he requested, previous blood test results going back three years and my ongoing symptoms and health history to date he recommended a cause of action and a medication protocol to start immediately. Dr Maksoud amended my prescription that I had reluctantly been taking for three years to one that was more suited to my specific requirements, and gave me strict dietary guidelines and lifestyle advice to incorporate going forwards. Following that first Consultation within a very short space of time I noticed a rapid improvement in my health and wellbeing, and I believed there was a way forwards that could give me a better quality of life that had been absent for many years. My particular Endocrine condition cannot be cured, but I now have the correct medication and advice to keep me going and I am in a much better place physically and emotionally. I have much to thank Dr Maksoud for, and although my ongoing consultations with him are much shorter now as my condition is more stable and manageable, I have a wonderful and very valuable Dr/Patient Relationship that I hope will continue for many years to come. Dr Maksoud is very knowledgable, approachable, kind and genuine. I am so pleased I have his continued support and expertise to call on. I hope he is not looking to retire anytime soon as he really is one of a kind.

I cannot praise Dr Maksoud highly enough. I went to see him because he was recommended by a friend and because my own GP was not taking my thyroid condition seriously. I was absolutely amazed and delighted when i met Dr Maksoud. For the very first time, i felt i was listened to carefully and respectfully by a medical professional. He has a quality of personal warmth and compassion second to none and he is approachable and understanding and gives freely of his time. I felt he really cared about me as a person not just as a patient. He sorted out my meds and continues to be a source of medical support and advice. I would suggest that all doctors should take a leaf out of Dr Maksoud's book. I wish he had time to train others! A marvellous doctor and wonderful human being. He gave me the confidence to feel that together we could manage my condition. I can't thank him enough.

I would very highly recommend Dr Maksoud. He is far superior in terms of knowledge and expertise than other Doctors in this field. I had spent over 20 years trying to get a diagnosis for all my symptoms and had lost hope but Dr Maksoud knew very quickly what the diagnosis was. During my first consultation, he put me at ease and took a full medical history. He diagnosed PCOS and carefully explained to me what was happening and how it could be managed. Dr Maksoud will work with you on a bespoke treatment plan that is regularly reviewed. My condition is complex and there is no cure but my heath has become a lot better with the treatment I am receiving. Dr Maksoud is very thorough and looks at the whole picture. He has literally saved patients lives by spotting serious medical issues early enough so they could be treated. He has a warm personality and enables you to feel confident and hopeful that whatever endocrine / metabolic disorder you have, he will help you manage it.
